This was a unique project in the works for 10 years. The current ladder requires dangerous and labor-intensive human interventions to make the ladder work. The new ladder would allow the fish to come in up the new ladder more naturally. We have provided power to all the major points of the ladder that required it. This required underground conduit, running wire, setting load centers, and provided lighting for the visitor centers and the valve vault. This is a carefully executed federal project with the Bureau of Reclamation.
